Stars

Stars too have a life span, but a star, the creator of the light remains immortal beyond the scope of this word itself.

Giant bodies of gas
shining brightly at a distance
unfathomable

Sun, our nearest star
preserver and sustainer
of all living beings

Begetters of light
Immortal than immortal
Very brief lifespan.

    1. My last two lines tries to answer the dichotomy between the mortality and immortality. This universe too, is also not immortal but the human definition of immortality is so narrow with respect to the cosmos that it considers stars like sun as gods, immortal.(question is what exactly is immortal and its definition is really distorted by fictional antagonists of superhero flicks ) These terminologies are abstract and when combined with science results in confusion. So in my last two lines i stated humanic description of a star and a cosmic reality quite contradictory. :-)
